Why would you want a loofah soap? What is loofah anyway? Well, it's a plant, a natural plant that looks a lot like a sponge. Once dried out, it contains exfoliating properties. One of the best things you can do for your skin soap) is to exfoliate. So a soap with loofah helps rid your skin of dead cells and promote the growth of new ones. Normally stiff and sometimes challenging to use we have found a way to "tame the loofah" by grinding it up. Then we mix it with our goat's milk base to make it extra rich and add palm kernel oil before setting it out to cure. Sure, there are other loofah soaps out there. So what makes ours better? Well, the palm kernel oil we add is ordinarily used only in many luxury and expensive soaps to produce a hard bar of soap which is mild, cleansing and lathers well. We think we all deserve to have such a soap. Its beautifully soft pale yellow colour is due only to the palm oil that it contains. No colour added. Don't be surprised if it floats--- it often does, so it's easy to find in the tub. |

Calming and soothing for the skin. It is so smooth and silky that it will leave your skin feeling deliciously spoiled ! For those of you who love vanilla, this one will blow you away -it is very heavy and warm; very rich and creamy. But not too sweet! Because this soap's custard white colour looks so appealing, we have added no colourants . As a matter of fact, vanilla has a tendency to darken over time, but the special French vanilla we use stays ever so pale.
Would you be surprised to know that this soap is our absolute best seller? Well, we were. We knew it was popular but never realised how much until we studied our statistics. When we first made anise soap it was to fulfill the request of a European friend who could not find any anise goat’s milk soap here. She said that she had looked all over to fund some and hadn't been lucky. She explained what she wanted; we tried out quite a few recipes before we settled on this one.

Some of our clients' husbands and boyfriends complained to us that we were discriminating against men! Why, the very idea! In looking at our products, we noticed that they might have a point. We did not have many products geared more towards men than towards women. So we set about trying to remedy that situation. We wanted a soap that would almost call out "Hey, man!" What would it be? We thought about what it could be. One of us is a mavie buff and remembered those old black and white movies when men used to put bay rum cologne on their faces to attract the ladies. In GQ, there was an article that bay rum was making a comeback. So, voilà! In past times, rum and the fragrant leaves of the West Indian Bay tree were blended to create a Bay Rum fragrance, used in popular colognes. Our Bay Rum Soap does not use rum (at least not right now we don't although we’re thinking about it) but a fragrant combination of vetiver, sandalwood, clove, citrus and vanilla which resembles the traditional bay rum fragrance. We found this recipe in an old book and added our special touch, of course. A little mango.

This is a favourite among our women customers. They love the fact that it exfoliates, they love its very fresh crisp lemony fragrance that it gets from lemon oil which is said to clear up spotty skin. Many of our customers have told us they love it in the kitchen also. We also make it in a bigger size to exfoliate even more. In that case, we fill the loofah itself with soap and place it in a round mould to make a great big fat bar of soap which we call our loofah wheel because it looks like one. It is slightly more expensive, but our customers tell us it's well worth it. and keep ordering more. Ingredients: goat’s milk soap base, vitamin E, palm oil, lemon essential oil, natural loofah particles that we have hand ground ourselves
We have added sandalwood oil to our recipe because it is believed to bring about calmness and serenity. Sandalwood has a harmonizing effect which reduces tension and stress and melds in perfectly with the relaxing effects of the vanilla. Rub this soap gently over your skin and feel its extra velvety softness. You will simply love it. One of our softest but longest - lasting soaps. It's at the top of the list of many of our clients' favourites. Ingredients: goat’s milk soap base, vitamin E, Shea butter, vanilla and sandalwood essential oils.
Why is anise soap so important? We didn't understand at first. After all, to us anise was just another name for licorice. Why would anyone want licorice soap? What we didn't know but soon found out is that anise is one of the nature's absolutely best deodorants. It erases traces of any smells you may have on your hands. For example, it takes away the odour of onion and fish after you've finished cooking. Anise is also well known for being antimicrobial and energizing. Due to the goat's milk and large amounts of Shea butter we put into it, our anise soap is extremely softening. We grind up the anise seeds ourselves to make sure they are fresh and the licorice smell, although present, is not overpowering. For those who wish for extra exfoliatiating properties we add coffee grounds and call this our "Anise Cappucino". It bans unwelcome odours and is extremely efficient without drying out your skin. Ingredients: Ingredients: goat's milk soap base, vitamin E, Shea butter, anise essential oil, ground anise seed
