We admit it. The name is a play on words. Just a bit of whimsy. Why? Because we fragrance this soap with freesia oil to give it a light floral scent that is captivating and crisp but lingering and warm at the same time. The word "freezing" comes from "freesia". But there is more to freesia than that. It has long been known as a flower which symbolises loyalty, trust and longing. We had wanted to use this precious perfume scent in one of our products and were pleased that this soap lent itself so well to our wish. But we wanted more than a soap with the fragrance of freesia. We wanted one that looks great too. Delightful! So we added mica leaves to simulate snowflakes. Why? Just because it's pretty that way. Since we use natural products, you might be tempted to say "Mica isn't natural". But is. Mica is the name of a group of naturally occurring Earth's minerals which are mined from around the world, purified, and crushed into fine pearly translucent powders. We had decided to call this soap "Freezing Snowflakes" but one of our husbands said "It looks like a blizzard" when he saw it. We agreed. And lots of snowflakes together make for a blizzard, don't they? To this, we add Vitamin E and a mix of jojoba and almond oils. Jojoba oil is known as the miracle oil for softening skin.glyceriny, we use it to promote a softer more supple skin, Almond oil will help to nourish the skin and to prevent dryness Together they make a great pair. Ingredients: glycerin soap base, freesia oil, mica, vitamin E, jojoba and almond oils
When we were young, our Grandmother Celia told us stories about the past. One of them was about World War 11 and how terrible it had been. She even told us, as an aside, that some things were difficult to get. One of them was green tea. That meant she couldn't make masks with it to place on her face to soften her skin and keep it clear. We had no idea what she was talking about so it went in one ear and out the other. But it must have stayed in our mind because, lately, when we began hearing about all the great anti-oxidant properties of green tea, we had an "AHA!" moment. So, of course, when we tried out recipes with soy, we immediately decided to try making one with green tea. Yes, loose leaf green tea. Because Grandmother Celia had said it was good for the skin. Green tea is said to have energising. This soap is the perfect skin treat after a long day or a quick picker-upper in the morning. Green tea has antibacterial antibacterial and anti fungal properties by its very nature and these properties are passed on in this soap. Some of our clients have told us that the use it as a natural deodorant. It is also quite astringent. Since tea tree oil from Australia has a long history of traditional use as an antiseptic and an anti fungal, it was natural for us to pair tea leaves with tea tree oil to produce a soap with extra purifying properties. Then we added bergamot oil also because of its reputation as also being anti fungal and antibacterial. This essential oil which is used in aromatherapy for creating a happy feeling has a basically very light, fresh and clean citrus smell. So when you are looking for a crisp, non flowery soap this is it. Franky, we pulled out all stops to produce another great soap that has ingredients with antioxidant properties. Although it's one of our very latest soaps, it has turned out to be one of our most successful. Don't be surprised if it looks brown rather than green. That's what happens to pure tea leaves. Ingredients: soy base, green tea, tea tree oil, bergamot oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E (for some customers, we have used Earl Grey Tea and for some others, white tea leaves which have fantastic antioxidant properties)

In the popular imagination, the apple has long been identified to the “forbidden fruit” that caused the misfortune of Adam and Eve. Apples are said to contain a precious oil with true anti-ageing properties. Thanks to its high levels of essential fatty acids, the apple gives energy to the cells and reawakens even the most tired complexion, vitalises the skin and strengthens its elasticity. Isn't that what many of us are looking for? One way to help is to use our "Appealing Apple " soap which is chock full of Granny Smith apples that we slice or crush ourselves. We could use another kind of apple but we find the tart, crisp scent of Granny Smiths particularly appealing. We enrich this luxurious soap with Palm kernel oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E to create a rich, creamy lather with a subtle, lasting fragrance. We have been told that this soap smells just like a big bushel barrel of crisp fresh apples at the apple orchard. Sweet and sharp just like fall. But the most important thing is not only the natural scent; it is the benefits that will delight your skin. Ingredients: soy base, Granny Smith apples, palm kernel oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E
